        Peter McAllister's portrait

        Peter McAllister

        Managing Director, Ireland

        With more than 30 years in the industry, Peter became McAllister’s Operations Manager in 2001 and a Company Director in 2005. He currently oversees all elements of the business on the island of Ireland. Peter is actively involved in identifying new market opportunities, developing existing client relationships, and exploring new innovations in the environmental services sector.

         

        Peter graduated from Ulster University with a BSc in Computing in 1995.

        Leo McAllister

        Group Director

        Leo joined McAllister Bros. Ltd in 1993 and was appointed Operations Manager for the company in 1998 to oversee the company’s growth in surveying services. In 2005, Leo was appointed a Director for the company and has been instrumental in championing the applied use of No-Dig technology including UV CIPP lining, Robotic Cutting and Pipeline Rehabilitation.  

          

        As Group Director, Leo oversees new product development, finance, health & safety, and environmental controls. In 2009, he established McAllister offices in Bahrain and Oman to offer trenchless services to firms and governments within the Gulf Cooperation Council. In 2010, he opened McAllister’s London offices to serve a growing client base across Greater London and southern England. In 2020 Leo formed McAllister Specialist Construction Ltd to introduce a new range of services into the group.

        Dan Watson

        Senior Vice President, Managing Director — Vortex International

        As Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Vortex International, Dan Watson leads strategic growth and operational oversight for Vortex’s expanding operations across Europe and the United Kingdom. With over two decades of experience in trenchless technologies, Dan is recognized for his technical expertise, innovative mindset, and proven record of building teams and businesses that deliver excellence in underground infrastructure renewal.

         

        Now part of the Vortex Companies, Dan began his career with McAllister Group in 2003, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening the company’s trenchless capabilities. With a background spanning tunnelling, horizontal directional drilling (HDD), and CIPP lining, Dan led McAllister’s rehabilitation division for nearly a decade—driving technical advancement and service excellence.

         

        His leadership extended globally, as he helped establish and deliver complex trenchless projects across the GCC, including Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Bahrain. In 2012, Dan relocated to England to establish McAllister’s London operations, transforming a small four-person team into a thriving workforce of over 85 employees by 2021. Under his direction, McAllister became one of the UK’s leading trenchless solution providers, known for innovation, safety, and technical capability.

         

        In 2021, Dan was appointed Managing Director for McAllister Group GB, overseeing company development, finance, health and safety, and environmental compliance. His ability to scale operations and drive sustainable growth have been the cornerstones of his success. 

         

        A passionate advocate for innovation and continuous improvement, Dan remains committed to advancing the trenchless industry through technology, collaboration, and operational excellence.

        Kevin Woolf

        Technical & Operational Lead (Group)

        Kevin brings over four decades of experience in the environmental services and trenchless technology sector. He began his career in 1980, where he played a pioneering role in developing new CIPP lining technologies for 100–150 mm pipelines at a time when this method was still in its infancy in the UK. Kevin worked on some of the earliest innovative trenchless projects across the country, gaining valuable technical and field-based experience.  In 1986, following a company merger, Kevin was involved in launching a global licensing model for advanced lining technologies. This led to extensive international travel—supporting clients in locations such as Singapore and New Zealand—where he provided hands-on technical guidance, training, and operational support to help deliver projects and build local capabilities.

          

        Since joining McAllister in 2015, Kevin has been instrumental in leading our Horton-based teams and coordinating the movement of plant, people, and materials across multiple projects. Known for his pragmatic leadership and deep technical know-how, he has routinely conducted site audits, liaised with clients and ensured seamless project delivery across the UK.

          

        In his role as Technical & Operational Lead (Group) he now focuses on enhancing field operations and technical delivery across the UK and Ireland, with a particular emphasis on improving site practices, deploying specialist tooling, and scoping and rolling out new products and services across the business.  Kevin’s career has been defined by a passion for innovation, operational excellence, and practical problem-solving—making him a valued mentor and subject matter expert across the business.

        Sean Gregory

        Group Head of Finance

        Sean joined McAllister in 2016 originally as the company accountant before being appointed Group Head of Finance. Previously Sean was Agri Business Finance manager at Moy Park, working alongside managers to drive revenue growth and profitability. Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2009, and having over 10 years post qualification experience, Sean has responsibility for all things finance related, and works in sustaining the company’s financial platform, for its next chapter of accelerated growth and innovation.

        Michelle McLoughlin

        Commercial Manager

        Michelle McLoughlin is a highly experienced Contracts & Commercial Manager with over a decade of expertise in commercial leadership, contract negotiation, and project delivery across major civil engineering and infrastructure programmes. She has consistently demonstrated the ability to drive commercial value, manage complex contractual relationships, and support successful project outcomes from tender stage through to final account.

         

        Michelle is known for her pragmatic and collaborative approach, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and in-depth knowledge of NEC and CECA forms of contract. She is passionate about good governance, commercial transparency, and delivering robust reporting to support decision-making at senior level.

         

        With a strong foundation in quantity surveying and a commitment to continuous professional development, Michelle has built a reputation for leading teams with integrity, mentoring junior staff, and embedding commercial best practice across the organisations she supports.

        Philip Chislett-Trim

        Managing Director (UK&I)

        Phil joined McAllister in 2017, bringing over 35 years industry experience to the role of Managing Director (UK&I). 

             

        Beginning his early engineering career in the public sector, Phil made the transition to contracting in 2001 and has held numerous senior operational and commercial roles with industry leaders including Thames Water, Veolia Water and Insituform Technologies. 

          

        Phil is a Chartered Water and Environmental Manager a Chartered Environmentalist and is honoured to lead the team both in the UK and Ireland.

        Sinead Clarke

        Human Resources Director, International

        Sinead graduated from Ulster University with a BA Hons in Business studies and an MSc in Human Resource Management.   She is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD).   She has worked at Director level in local government, as Head of Human Resources for US and European multinational manufacturers, and as a university lecturer. 

          

        Sinead offers 20 years’ experience in senior leadership roles, directing all aspects of HR strategy and operations, and resolving complex HR and organisational development challenges across both private and public sector environments. She brings expertise in establishing and scaling HR functions, designing and embedding organisational structures to support post-merger integration, embedding positive organisational cultures and new ways of working, and leading complex transformation programmes and restructures. Sinead also has practical experience supporting broader corporate functions, including IT, communications, finance, audit and risk.

         

        One of Sinead’s key strengths is her ability to adapt rapidly to diverse priorities and organisational challenges. This agility allows her to quickly assess specific needs and design tailored solutions that deliver results. Regardless of the context, Sinead brings a thoughtful, strategic approach that fosters trust, drives progress, and enables success.

        Eoghan O’Brien

        Senior Project Manager

        Eoghan joined McAllister – A Vortex Company in June 2022 and brings over a decade of experience in the water infrastructure sector across the UK and Ireland. As Senior Project Manager, Eoghan leads project teams—both staff and subcontractors—to deliver civil engineering works ranging from small contracts to complex, multi‑million‑pound projects. He is also  responsible for all stages of project delivery including design, planning, implementation, and handover, always maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance. 

         

        Based in London, Eoghan specialises in navigating the challenges of urban infrastructure, consistently delivering successful outcomes in densely built environments. His areas of expertise include water and sewer rehabilitation, trenchless technologies, and infrastructure renewal, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to client expectations.

         

        Eoghan holds a BEng in Civil Engineering from Queen’s University Belfast and an MSc in Civil Engineering & Construction Management from Heriot‑Watt University.

        Ruairi McGuigan

        Head of Operations (Ireland)

        Ruairí has 15 years’ experience in operational management in the environmental services sector, with a focus on operational efficiency, process management, and continuous improvement. He joined McAllister in October 2019 as a Contracts Manager, responsible for delivering a major contract for Northern Ireland Water. Today, as Head of Operations, he oversees the operations management teams, subcontractors, field teams and call centre functions in support of the delivery of all works to our client base in Ireland. 

         

        Ruairi holds a BSc in Geography and a MSc in Environmental Planning, both from Queen’s University Belfast. Married to Claire with three children, Ruairi has a passion for Gaelic Games, is a season ticket holder for the Republic of Ireland soccer team and an avid supporter of Liverpool FC

        Brendan Rooney

        Head of Commercial (Ireland)

        As Head of Commercial (Ireland), Brendan is responsible for  commercial project management, subcontractor procurement, estimating and bid management across the island of Ireland. Throughout his career, he has become known for building strong and long-lasting partnerships with clients. With a keen understanding of his clients’ needs Brendan has built a strong foundation of trust, consistently delivering innovative, long-term solutions to complex infrastructure challenges.  

         

         Brendan graduated from Liverpool John Moore’s University with a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying. He joined McAllister in 2009. Prior to joining McAllister, he worked for several Tier 1 Civil Engineering Contractors including BAM Nutall, SIAC Construction, Laing O’Rourke, and Bennett Construction.

        Florin Cheaburu

        Head of Engineering

        As Head of Engineering at McAllister, Florin Cheaburu leads the UK engineering team with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and technical excellence. Since joining McAllister in 2021, he has been instrumental in advancing the company’s delivery of environmentally responsible, high-performance trenchless and civil infrastructure solutions across the water, wastewater, and energy sectors.

        An ICE-accredited Chartered Civil Engineer with more than two decades of international experience, Florin brings deep expertise in design management, structural rehabilitation, and project delivery for complex urban environments. His leadership has helped shape McAllister’s engineering standards, integrating modern digital design tools and sustainable materials to achieve measurable carbon and efficiency gains.

        Before joining McAllister, Florin worked on major civil and utilities projects across Europe and the UK, building a strong reputation for technical rigor, collaboration, and results-driven engineering. He is passionate about developing the next generation of engineers and advancing industry standards in trenchless technology and asset renewal.

        David Paul's portrait

        David Paul

        Head of Operations (UK)

        Dave Paul has been a key part of the McAllister team since 2014, bringing with him over 15 years of experience in operations and field service management. With a strong background in managing vehicle fleets, plant, machinery, and resource coordination, Dave has played an instrumental role in supporting the efficient delivery of McAllister projects across the UK.

          

        In his earlier role, Dave was responsible for the day-to-day organisation of project personnel, small works quoting and delivery, and the oversight of plant and equipment logistics. Known for his calm under pressure and hands-on approach, he has consistently ensured operational continuity across a wide range of reactive and planned works.

          

        As Head of Operations (UK), Dave will oversee operational performance, resource planning, and service delivery across the London network.  His leadership will be key in ensuring that the company continues to deliver excellence in field operations while embracing innovation and strategic growth.

        James Peden

        Project Manager

        James joined McAllister in 2015 and has strengthened our planning process and management of projects through his industry experience and winning attitude. James has more than eight years' project management experience honed within the private, public and utility sectors. Before joining McAllister Group, James worked for several companies within the civil engineering and wastewater industries, including UKDN Waterflow and Barhale. This wealth of experience and expertise ensures that our projects run on time, on budget, and exceed our customers' expectations. James has recently been involved in the successful delivery of a number of high profile projects for Thames Water, Tideway and HS2.

        Justin Watson

        Business Development Manager

        Justin has been working within the construction/utility sectors for 25 years. A majority of this time was spent with Morrison Utility Services (formally Morrison Construction) in various roles from administrative through to management. The roles covered many contracts such as water, gas and electric finally progressing into a Business Development at a regional basis. During this time Justin not only developed a full understanding of construction methodologies but also took on a number of formal qualifications which included a highly recognised Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) with the Open University.  

        Justin recognises the importance of strategic business planning, relationship and brand management he took those skills to AEGION (Insituform) to develop and deliver a long-term strategy for pipeline rehabilitation.    

        Now working at McAllister, Justin has been instrumental in developing and defining business strategy for both sort and long term and has combined his knowledge of construction methodologies and pipeline rehabilitation to identify new opportunities within the sector allowing for greater direct delivery.   

        Justin is also responsible for tender management from identifying future/current opportunities, creating a bid strategy, coordination, writing through to submission.
